I just ordered a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8 inch tablet. This will be my second Android tablet. My first was a 7 inch Coby Kyros which I bought at Walmart 3 years ago. I created a blog about my Coby.
This blog will share my adventures of learning how to use the tablet along with Android KitKat.
I am buying this tablet to have a computer to take notes and to take pictures that I can carry with me at all times. I don't have a smart phone, so much of which I learn that is new to me, may be old information to Android smart phone users. But I have to start somewhere!
Why this model? I like the 8 inch screen form factor. I found the 7 inch screen to be too small, since I wear reading glasses. The 10 inch screen makes the tablet too bulky; at that size, I may as well just carry my Ultrabook laptop. From the reviews I have read, the tablet is reasonably fast and the screen is nice and bright. The price of $239 is reasonable as well. I'm not looking for perfection, just a good trade-off between features and price.
I already downloaded the user's manual and have been reading through it. I've also been researching tutorials on the web. This series on the Galaxy tab 3, I found very informative.
